Fuck off. If a woman wants to go topless on a private estate with her husband, she has the right to do that. Doesn’t matter if she’s a “princess” or not.
There’s such a double standard between the reaction to Kate’s photos and Harry’s. Harry’s were merely laughed off, but now Kate is being subject to criticism simply because she had her boobs out on private property. I can’t believe how much a woman’s body is both simultaneously (and contradictory) sensationalised and then condemned. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. There’s like some kind of bullshit mythology that exists around women’s breasts - they’re like an object of both fear and desire. Like I was once walking through a hotel with my bikini top on (shorts on as well, so I was barely uncovered) and I got asked to put a shirt on (which is fair enough, I guess), but then all these shirtless dudes walked past and didn’t have anything said to them.
Also, she was in a private place. The photographer violated HER. She was alone with her husband, trusting that she really was alone. I heard an argument on tv earlier, someone said “there are female nudists on French beaches”. Yes. They are willingly putting themselves out there like that—I’m not shaming them but Kate was NOT ON A BEACH, she was not out in public!
Don’t victim blame. SHE is not to blame. That pig of a photographer who invaded their privacy is.
Bah, what happened to Kate Middleton is pretty much the equivalent of somebody going up to your bedroom window while you get undressed and taking photographs of you naked. She was on private property, she wasn’t even in view of people other than her husband. Some voyeur with a zoom lens camera photographed her where she had a right to expect privacy. And unless Emma Roberts has never taken her clothes off on private property before, she can zip it.
Seriously, if some man with a camera took photos of some random woman when she was half naked they’d get into serious trouble. I know the law always seems to protect the celebrities but they do deserve protection the same as everybody else, it only becomes a problem when they receive more protection from the law and nameless citizens are ignored. This was a complete invasion of her privacy, a 20 page special magazine dedicated to Kate’s boobs was not necessary. It was not beneficial either.
Royal doesn’t mean sub-human. Some of them annoy the shit out of me, she isn’t one of them, even if she was, this is still WRONG. In fact, I also feel so sorry for William here because this press hounding is effectively what killed his mother, and now it’s happening to his wife. Like, Jesus, stop it. HUMAN.
Fucking, Emma Roberts. I knew there was a reason I stopped liking her.
Reblogging for the accuracy of the comments.
Nudity shouldn’t be so frowned upon Emma.
